New structure at VCF Academy

The VCF Academy have made a series of organisational changes for the 2022/23 season, with the aim of continuing the good work done in recent years, take a step forward and maintain the academy’s record of providing players for the elite.
Luis Martínez will be Director of the VCF Academy, as part of a restructure due to Sean Bai’s appointment as Valencia CF’s Director General and the departure of Marco Otero.
Sergio Ventosa will become General Coordinator, José Jiménez Scouting Coordinator and José Bargues Technical Coordinator. All three have an extensive history at the VCF Academy, undertaking diverse roles in recent years. Carlos Martínez will continue as Coordinator of 8-a-side football, and the Operations Coordinator role will be taken up by Borja Eroles.
Strengthening the project
The club have given special attention to the VCF Academy in recent years, and the results have been impressive. The CIES Football Observatory has consistently ranked the work done at the Ciudad Deportiva highly in their reports, and a steady stream of players have moved up to the first team. Last year, the entire women’s structure was also moved to the training facility.
